About My Curriculum Mate

Built by a founder who watched his wife plan lessons until midnight, for days before the school season would start. This is what came from that.

How My Curriculum Mate was born

My Curriculum Mate started at a dining table in Sydney in 2025. The founder's wife, a primary school teacher, was spending her evenings cross-referencing NSW Syllabus outcomes, working out contact time for each learning area, and differentiating lessons for every student in her class. It was the kind of work that followed her home every night and rarely felt finished.

At the time, her husband was completing a Microsoft AI course and needed a project to build. Watching her work, the idea was obvious. He built the first version of My Curriculum Mate as that course submission and handed it to her to try.

She used it that evening. What had taken hours took minutes, the curriculum outcomes were correctly matched, and the lessons were differentiated without her having to think through every variation manually. Her response was simple: other teachers need this.

That was the moment My Curriculum Mate became a real product. It launched shortly after and has grown steadily since, now used by teachers across every Australian state and territory. The platform supports the V9 Australian Curriculum (ACARA), the Victorian Curriculum 2.0, the NSW Syllabus (NESA), and the Western Australian Curriculum (SCSA).

The goal is the same as it was that first evening: give Australian teachers back the time they are currently spending at the dining table.

What My Curriculum Mate does

My Curriculum Mate generates lesson plans, unit plans, worksheets, curriculum maps, and educational images for Australian K–12 teachers. Every output is mapped to the curriculum framework for your state or territory, so there is no manual cross-referencing and no adapting generic content to fit Australian standards.

The platform works directly from the source documents: ACARA v9, Victorian Curriculum 2.0, NSW Syllabus (NESA), and the Western Australian Curriculum (SCSA). What you get is a lesson plan that is ready to teach, not a starting point that still needs an hour of work before it is usable.
